Statement On California Proposition 65

The State of California’s Proposition 65 (Prop 65), also known as the California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act, lists 1000+ chemicals believed to cause cancer and/or reproductive harm. The Act requirements manufacturers to provide ‘clear and reasonable’ warning if their products contain any of these chemicals.
Redwood Plastics and Rubber products are provided as stock shapes or finished parts and as such any chemicals listed on the Prop 65 list are bound within polymer matrices and should be below levels of concern, or non-existent; however, we cannot guarantee in all circumstances that the chemicals would be non-detectable. This would typically occur if the products are being machined and dust escapes (though the chemicals would still be bound within the polymer matrix). The other possibility is material degradation if high levels of heat are applied. We cannot guarantee zero outgassing.
Exercising an abundance of caution, Redwood Plastics and Rubber is choosing to notify our valued customers of known chemicals on the list that may be bound within our polymers and rubber products (Individual product information is available upon request):
